Magelang city situated between 7 degrees south latitude and 10 degrees east longitude, is one of the city in Central Java, which occupies a strategic position frightening, which is located right in the middle of Java Island and the main shaft is at a crossroads: Yogyakarta, Semarang, Yogyakarta-Wonosobo, Semarang-Kebumen-Cilacap. The distance is 65 km from Semarang and 42 km from Yogyakarta.

Surrounded by mountains and hills such as: Sindoro, Cleft, Boat, Telomoyo, Merbabu, Merapi, Andong and Menoreh, and there is a little evidence "Mount Tidar" in the heart of the city, causing Magelang cool temperate, with temperatures between 25 degrees - 27 degrees centigrade.
